Science Week 2020

This week is Science Week, 8th -15th November 2020 and like everything else in 2020, it will be very different to other years. Here are 5 activities, events and TV show for Science Week 2020.

Science Week on RTÉ

RTÉ have some great content on their website as well as some great science based programmes this week. Future Island is a show featuring how Irish citizens are contributing to the future of science and is being broadcast over 3 nights from the 10th – 12th November. Another great show is 10 Things to Know, which at the time of writing had been broadcast on Monday 9th November. Both of these are available on the RTÉ Player.

Virtual Events on Science Foundation Ireland

The Sky at Night – BBC4

This months episode of the Sky at Night on BBC covers the discovery of phosphine on Venus. The show will look at the implications of this for other potentially habitable places in the Solar System. It will air Wednesday 11th November on BBC4 at 7pm.

Netflix have some great science based films, documentaries and series. If you haven’t seen David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet, I would highly recommend it.
